Student Leadership Conferences

The practice of student leadership at Huntington North High School is one that is owned by a collective network of youth ministers known as Off Campus. Originally done through Campus Life, this ministry is designed to help coach and mentor those students who want to reach their friends for Christ and help them grow in Christ. This is one of the "living laboratories" of Link Institute!

In this site we hope to make available resources that we have found useful among the student leaders at Huntington North High School, and we'll add to it as we go. Enjoy browsing.

Student Leader Accountability Partners
Two or three students basically agree to meet weekly for about an hour or two, and also agree on a weekly Bible passage that they will immerse themselves in (it's often 2-3 chapters that are assigned to be read 4-5 times; a total of about 10-12 chapters). Adults have helped launched new partnership teams also and, when they're involved, they submit to the same standards of accountability.

The first set of questions are based on the Sermon on the Mount and are distributed to interested students in a bookmark form. The second set of Bible-based prayer statements are on the reverse side of the bookmark and help provide a way to keep the evangelism focus in front of kids.
