Huntington Off Campus
All across
the country youth ministers are finding exciting ways to
unite in ministry partnership. This visible unity is a
high value to the Lord Jesus, one that He prayed for in
His last days (John 17:21). By practicing this unity we
can actively reveal Jesus among the young people with
whom we minister.
Link
Institute is proud to be active in the promotion of this networking on
the local level.
Huntington, Indiana, is a small
community of about 30,000 people. We
have one high school in the county (slightly more than
2,000 students). Off
Campus
is the youth ministry network that has been developed to
further the Christ-glorifying unity of our youth ministry
presence in this community. It's purpose is relatively
straightforward:
Off
Campus
exists to make an impact on Huntington County
youth
by uniting area youth ministers.
Off
Campus'
core
values include practicing visible unity, seeing students
as individuals , seeking spiritual transformation, and
cultivating authentic partnerships--all of which are to
be surrounded by prayer.
Off Campus
has also articulated the following vision statement:
We want to develop student leaders who discover
healthy and balanced faithfulness in their lives. Using
their spiritual gifts to contribute distinctive fruit
through the local body of Christ they will become
effective missionaries to their world.
We want to reach lost kids, providing creative
platforms through which the gospel of Jesus Christ can be
clearly communicated. Responding to these persistent,
loving initiatives they will become dedicated followers
of Jesus Christ.
We want to incorporate Christian teens as
meaningful partners in the life of a local church.
Drawing on common vision-raising experiences they will
become positive contributors to church renewal.
